Toxic Tort and Environmental Litigation

Our Toxic Tort and Environmental Litigation attorneys frequently represent property owners, oil companies, product manufacturers, contractors, suppliers, and insurance companies in complex, multi-party litigation throughout the United States.  Our attorneys have functioned as lead trial counsel throughout the country as well as national coordinating counsel for several asbestos clients. We have also been called upon to develop multi-jurisdictional strategies for the handling of large-scale litigation, including the development of expert witnesses, the oversight of local counsel, and the management of related insurance coverage issues.

Our attorneys are currently handling trial dockets of asbestos cases and lead exposure cases in state and federal courts in the Mid-Atlantic region. The firm also handles a variety of other toxic tort cases.  Representative cases involve mold, benzene, talc, and silica, as well as products like pesticides, cosmetics, and building materials.  Our attorneys are also experienced in handling cases involving the disposal of medical waste and the delivery of gasoline.  We represent bulk suppliers and contractors and are frequently called upon to handle insurance coverage issues relating to these matters.

In addition to defending private individuals and corporations, we frequently represent local governments and public corporations in environmental matters. We have defended wastewater treatment plants and other dischargers under the Clean Water Act and related state laws, and regularly handle pollution cases for local governments. Our representation in this context has included all phases of the environmental litigation process, from administrative and regulatory hearings through trial and appeal, at both the state and federal levels.
